Republican Congressman Lance Gooden of Texas has formally requested the General Services Administration (GSA) to install cryptocurrency ATMs in federal buildings. The initiative aligns with former President Donald Trump’s recent pro-crypto stance and broader ambitions for U.S. dominance in blockchain technology.

The proposal comes amid rising concerns about crypto ATM-related fraud, particularly targeting senior citizens. While the move could increase mainstream adoption, regulatory challenges and security risks remain unresolved.
